So far...

So far this week...

My favorite hair product, Argan oil, was spilled all over the floor and left there for me to find.  (Might I add it was fairly expensive and a Christmas gift?)

Oliver would rather be naked than wear clothing.

We left Target with Anna screaming crying, allowing for every person in our proximity to stop and look at a mom staring straight ahead, trying to remain calm, eyes on the door.  When we got to the car she proceeded to tell me that 'I ruined her life and killed her heart!!!'  What five year old says this?

I got pelted this morning in the neck by a rolled up dirty diaper.  The thrower shall remain nameless but claims he wasn't trying to hit me but be funny.  Hilarious.

Oliver dove all over my couch with newly washed slipcovers with fruit shake, containing berries, all over his mouth.

Oliver bit Anna's side while they were playing on our bed and it needed a bandaid.  She proceeded to stay in her room until he apologized while yelling, 'You will never be my brother ever again!!!'

Finger painting ended with Oliver's entire face being blue.

Lots of timeouts, apologies, hugs and forgiveness.

How is your week going? :)

  1. I'm soooooooooooo with you. Yesterday the kids were really hungry and I stopped at McDs, Taylor refused to say what she wanted so I ordered Luke's first which Taylor thought was her order which was NOT what she wanted, screamed like a maniac, and I do mean deafening to the point that the lady couldn't hear me and I couldn't hear her...I could do nothing but pull fwd hoping I'd get some food...and wouldn't you know that Luke didn't get his order but Taylor got what she wanted even though I never really ordered it. :/ sigh.

    2. He was holding his ears! Then when I had to tell him that I didn't have "HIS" lunch and he had to eat what she wanted. He threw a fit too. I drove to Nicks work to meet him and when I opened the door...papers few out across the parking lot which I chased because I needed to cool off. lol AMEN.......I LOVE Intentional Mom's...........refocus!

  2. thanks for sharing Carrie! I giggled some, felt your pain in most, and smiled alot. I have been there so many times I lost count! I especially giggled at the part where you left the store with a screaming daughter , eyes fixed straight on the door ahead...I have done that SO often! Everyone staring but you have one goal in mind, get this child and your embarrassed mortified self out of there! Oh my, the lessons we, and they, learn in early childhood! Thankfully, I don't go through this with Logan anymore (being 9 years old he better not even try!) but starting all over again with Mr. Isaac....and I would say..about 10x's worse then what I delt with Logan..lol. I look forward to your blog :)

  4. you're doing a good job of practicing patience...and love...and grace...and mercy...God uses our weakness/frustration to show His strength - when we surrender and declare "I can't do this anymore..." He picks ups when we let go...and we know we could never do it without Him!
